STRAWBERRY SPINACH SALAD

Salad:
1 12-oz. bag spinach
1 pt. fresh strawberries, halved
1 11-oz. can mandarin oranges
1/2 small red onion, sliced
Dressing:
2 Tbs.. sesame seeds, toasted
2 Tbs.. rice vinegar
2 Tbs.. sugar
2 Tbs.. sliced green onions
1/4 cup vegetable oil
dash tabasco
GREEN SALAD WITH STRAWBERRIES AND FETA CHEESE

ONE OR TWO BAGS SALAD MIX
RIPE STRAWBERRIES
CRUMBLED FETA CHEESE
CARAMELIZED WALNUTS OR PECANS*
RASPBERRY SALAD DRESSING – STORE BOUGHT DRESSING (GIRARD’S OR LITEHOUSE BRAND)
*TO CARAMELIZE NUTS MELT BROWN SUGAR IN PAN ON MEDIUM TO HIGH HEAT. BROWN SUGAR WILL BEGIN TO MELT QUICKLY (WATCH OUT BECAUSE IT CAN BURN EASILY AND WILL TASTE NASTY) WHEN IT BEGINS TO MELT TURN HEAT OFF AND THROW IN NUTS. LET NUTS COOL ON A PIECE OF WAX PAPER. WHEN COOL, MIX INTO SALAD WITH STRAWBERRIES AND FETA CHEESE. (IT LOOKS PRETTIER NOT TO STIR SALAD. ADD RASPBERRY DRESSING RIGHT BEFORE SERVING SALAD.
